Remy Ilona was a lawyer and law teacher in Nigeria. A member of the Igbo ethnic community, Remy has authored 16 books and many papers, many about his people who are known as Biafrans to most of the world and as Jews of Africa during the period in which Nigeria carried out a genocidal project against them.

Currently, Remy is an ‘All But Dissertation’ PhD Candidate at the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of California, Riverside. His primary areas of concentration and interest are Jewish Studies, Genocide and Holocaust Studies; he is also working on African religions, in Africa, and in the Diaspora. His dissertation, to be defended in May 2024, is about the Holocaust and the Igbo Genocide, which he views as two genocidal projects that must never be forgotten.
