Wendy Anson, Lee Tanenbaum, and Robyn Wittenberg Dudley will present "How Can I Volunteer in Israel?"
Wendy, a veteran VFI volunteer from California, recently spent 5 months in boots-on-the-ground volunteering in Israel, including giving Reiki relaxation treatments to hotel evacuees, tying tzitzit for IDF soldiers, sorting vegetables in distribution centers, and much more.
In March 2024, Lee and Robyn, two volunteers from Georgia, arranged 7 jewelry-making workshops in hotels in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem for adult and child evacuees. Robyn has been on 3 VFI trips and plans to go with VFI Rehab in November 2024.
By the end of this presentation, Lee, Robyn, and Wendy hope you will be able to identify resources to help you make an informed decision about volunteering in Israel either as part of an organized Volun-Tour or independently. You will learn about the many types of organizations with which you can volunteer or how to do it flying solo.
Whether a novice travelling to Israel or an experienced volunteer on a "mission", our guest speakers will provide practical tips on travel, packing, funding your trip, and more.
