Dear Editor Montreal Gazette,
Erik Leijon’s May 11 article in The Montreal Gazette extensively quoted and paraphrased anti-Israel protesters, giving readers no background on their radical and extremist views, and provided only one perspective, ignoring all context to the contrary.
Ignorance is no excuse but it must be the reason that Leijon did not reveal the terrorist connections of the protesters, the truth about Israel's legal and historic rights and legitimacy, and promoted support for anti-democracy, hate mongers.
It is time that Montreal Gazette took responsibility for the harm it does by publishing such antisemitic and hateful articles.
