Re: Israeli police raid Palestinian bookstores in east Jerusalem, drawing international concern, By Deborah Danan, Feb. 10, 2025, Forward

Dear Editor,
Recently, Israel announced that there were 18,000 attempted terrorist acts against its citizens in 2024. Where was the international concern over these atrocious acts? The only way anyone could get the Secretary General of the United Nations to condemn these acts was to threaten to defund the organization, only then to observe begrudged condemnations weeks after the acts occurred.
As for the shuttered East Jerusalem bookstore being popular among journalists and diplomats, well, so are airport bookstores in Arab countries that have stacks of Mein Kampf and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion on sale.
Please excuse Israel for trying to eliminate books and pamphlets fomenting hatred of Jews and their state. 18,000 terrorist attacks tends to raise one's sensitivity.
