The Many Faces of Islamic Antisemitism
CAEF has hosted three experts on the topic of Islamic Antisemitism, from both a historical and current perspective. The history of Islam is replete with antisemitic, anti-Christian ideology, attacks and destruction. It is true that Jews flourished in Muslim Spain during the 10th-12th centuries, and were granted religious freedom and some rights and privileges. This was considered a “Golden Age” in Al-Andalus, but Jews were not treated as equals. They were subjected to some restrictions and faced discrimination. They were second class citizens or dhimmis and paid a jizya tax.
The explosion of antisemitism in Arab Muslim countries came long before the legal re-establishment of the State of Israel and was greatly exacerbated by the UN’s decision to create a state for the Jews in their historic homeland. Today’s Jew hatred is endemic to Islamism, the political movement for Islamic supremacy which has centered itself on antiZionism, allied for leftism, and disrupts Western society and devalues liberal democracy at every turn.

“Palestine” in Canadian Electoral Politics
A campaign under the auspices of Palestine Youth Movement, Independent Jewish Voices and Palestinian solidarity partners, is underway as Canadians prepare to vote on April 28th, thus inserting a distant geopolitical conflict into the election. Though the conflict has little bearing on everyday life for Canadians, it is the focus of anti-Israel activists across the country and bears heavily against the Canadian Jewish community. Several articles have been written about it and the names of 230 candidates, coming from almost all federal parties, have been published. It comes as no surprise that these candidates have no shame in being called out for their anti-Israel stance.
Read Michael Starr’s article in the Jerusalem Post about 20 Liberal candidates who signed a pledge for an arms embargo and Palestinian state recognition.
Read posting by Casey Babb on the 230 candidates who signed an antisemitic platform, called the Palestine Platform, that included those who celebrated the October 7th massacre of Israelis and foreign nationals. This platform is anti-Canadian and antisemitic:

Watch Interview with Bridgette Gabriel, ACT for America, Sharia in America, 03/29/25
This is a snapshot of what is happening in the US. Perhaps fear of being called “Islamophobic” keeps people from naming the problem, confronting and containing it. The normalization of Sharia law and the radicalization of youth in schools are urgent issues to be addressed. This is a Canadian issue as well. Citizens must become informed, ask electoral candidates for their views, call out elected officials about plans to address radicalization.

Leftist Authoritarianism Correlates with an “Assassination” Culture
Findings from the Network of Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) and Rutgers University’s Social Perception Lab reveal a trend that is frightening and must be exposed.
In an article by Yudi Sherman published April 2, 2025 on the TheGoldReport.com, we learn that a willingness to accept assassination as a means of pressing one’s views correlates with strongly held DEI ideology. The latter also strongly correlates with antisemitism and other hateful ideas. Read the article here.
Is this the Palestinian Authority that Canada Supports?
Read this excerpt from Palestinian Media Watch:
PA Shari'ah Judge Nasser Al-Qirem: "The Shari'ah legal law of this land, for anyone who doesn't know, is that it is a waqf land (i.e., inalienable religious endowment)... from its [Mediterranean] Sea to its [Jordan] River, this is its Shari'ah law, from its sea to its river. The laws of this waqf determine that its status cannot be changed, not by sale and not by purchase, not by collateral and not by exchange... not by addition and not by subtraction... As for the [end] date of this waqf: It is forever and ever, and for all eternity, until Allah inherits the earth and those on it."

Anti-Zionism IS Antisemitism
Tafsik brought out a few hundred people to rally on April 16th in Toronto, around the theme, the poignant undeniable fact that Anti-Zionism is today’s manifestation of Jew hatred. Holding messages high that spelled out what has been long needing to be said, the rally emphasized that the enemies of the state of Israel are the enemies of the Jewish people worldwide.
Co-founder and Executive Director of Tafsik, Amir Epstein, moderated a program of special guests and allies and all emphasized the struggle is huge to overcome the hate messaging, the Islamist/Leftist influence in politics, academia, media and cultural institutions. The signage spoke volumes and needs to be reinforced, frequently, loudly, publicly.
