The 5 Commitments - A Jewish Voter Guide for This Election and How Your Grassroots Leaders are Standing up For Jewish Civil Rights

As Jewish Canadians head to the polls, we do so in the shadow of the worst antisemitism our country has seen in generations.

That’s why grassroots Jewish organizations have come together to create The Five Commitments — a non-partisan framework outlining the core principles our community must demand from any political party or candidate seeking our support. These commitments are not just community values — they are a litmus test. Ask your federal candidates where they stand. If they can’t commit to these five principles, have they truly earned your vote? We owe it to our children — and to our history — to make this election a turning point for Jewish safety, dignity, and moral clarity in Canada. Vote early. Vote with clarity. Vote for those who stand with us.

This Election Matters to All of Us

April 28 the date of the Federal Election is fast approaching.  It is crucial that all eligible voters get out and vote. But to do so it is important that you be informed and understand what the candidates and their parties are promising. Among the issues of concern to the Jewish and allied communities is where each party stands when it comes to Canada’s relationship with Israel. The Toronto Zionist Council has prepared a Zionist Pledge to highlight some critical policy platforms vis a vis the relationship between the two countries we love. Download a copy of the pledge here. Share it with your candidates and ask them to take the pledge. Copy vp@tzc.ca.
