Announcing: Canadian Criminal Law Working Group

The Alliance of Canadians Combating Antisemitism (ALCCA)  just announced a collaboration with the Canadian Jewish Law  Association and the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs,  Legal Task Force. “The Working Group will bring together experienced criminal lawyers from across the country to provide legal expertise and support for victims to ensure hate-motivated offences are properly addressed under the law.”

The rise in antisemitism necessitates coordinated efforts, focus, national scope, and expertise. The Working group will be chaired by Rochelle Direnfeld, former senior crown attorney and Senior criminal counsel for ALCCA.

Victoria, BC is Site of Continuous Anti-Israel Protests

Of course the protesters would have the public believe they are standing for “Palestine” and against the barbarity of the IDF. They never mention that Hamas broke a ceasefire on October 7, 2023 and massacred over 1200 innocent people, nor that during war civilians die and the data from the Hamas controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza, does not produce reliable data on anything, especially deaths since October 7. They count death by natural causes, death due to failed PIJ rockets, death of combatants etc as all due to Israel. There is no genocide being conducted in Gaza, while there was an intended genocide against Israel by Hamas.

Lies, bigotry and hate are the fuel that keeps the protests going, in Victoria, in Toronto, and across Canada. The funding must be investigated, as well as all the directives for well organized hate-fests that take over our streets, rendering them hostile and unsafe for Jews and allies.

See article in the Times colonist by Michael John Lo, January 25, 2025 on the 67 week protest by Hamas supporters.

See photo sent by David Stambler, Vancouver resident who came across this more muted protest in Victoria on March 24th.

David wrote: “It was more the horror of the appropriation of “Holocaust” in response to Israel’s legitimate national defence - basically a continuation of the false genocide trope.”

Al Quds Day – Farce and Fakery

On March 23rd, 3000 people “protested” the existence of Israel as they marched with flags and banners, claiming the streets of Toronto, broadcasting their misinformation. Al Quds is the Arabic name given to Jerusalem, meaning “the Holy” or “the holy sanctuary.” Initiated in 1979 by the tyrannical, theocractic regime in Iran, the day is intended to call out what some Arabs contend is an illegal occupation. While it is not at all illegal for Israel to have reunited its ancient and holy city of Jerusalem, it is interesting to note that during the 19 years in which Jordan illegally occupied the old city, including the holy sites for all 3 Abrahamic faiths they did absolutely nothing to declare the site special, to establish a state of Palestine, to improve living conditions in the city, nor to even declare the Temple Mount to be the 3rd holiest site in Islam. These claims came after the Iranian regime took power and began its campaign of disinformation and misinformation, attempting to discredit all of Jewish history and legal rights.

The Imam of Peace and the Global Imams Council called for all levels of government to seriously investigate the March, noting it serves to foster terrorism, is organized by what they call “corrupt clerics,: is a disgrace to Islam and those organizing it must be held accountable.

Ongoing Discrimination Against Students Supporting Israel on Canadian Campuses:

TMU, Guelph University, Manitoba

SSI logo

The headline above and article below is taken exactly from latest bulletin sent by Students Supporting Israel (SSI) as it focuses on Canada. CAEF calls on Canadian Jews and Allies to stand with our Students, stand against Jew hatred, express disappointment with campus administration and demand security and equality for Jewish students and faculty. As a result of the cancelling at a Toronto university, CAEF has organized an alternate event in a community setting, with several partner organizations. Immediately upon announcing this, a campaign of hate and disinformation was initiated with registration being filled up repeatedly by recognizable anti-Israel activists and fraudsters. A replicated message was also circulated demanding the speakers, two lone soldiers who served with the IDF, be cancelled or even forbidden from speaking.  Behind this nonsense and hostility is the Actionnetwork platform with a petition organized by Jews Say No to Genocide, a group that clearly prefers dead Jews to saving hostages, or saving Palestinian Arabs from the tyranny of Hamas and saving Israel from eradication. Shame! Shame!

Research on Jew Hatred, Via AI and On Campus

The latest bulletin from the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism shared this important information.

“The Anti-Defamation League released a study evaluating bias in leading AI language models–Open AI's GPT, Anthropic's Claude, Google's Gemini, and Meta's Llama. The report found "measurable antisemitic and anti-Israel bias" in all four models, with Meta's Llama showing the most extreme and unreliable responses. GPT and Claude displayed significant inconsistency on issues relating to the Israel-Hamas war, and all models showed a reluctance to answer questions about Israel. The ADL is urging AI developers to use better training data, improve content filters, and follow safety guidelines to make sure their tools don't spread hate.

The Antisemitism Research Center by CAM published a detailed report exposing "widespread promotion of terrorist groups" and violent rhetoric by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and Faculty and Staff for Justice in Palestine (FSJP) on Instagram. Over six months, 276 SJP/FSJP-affiliated accounts were monitored, with 269 posts identified as glorifying terrorist organizations, including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the PFLP, celebrating the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, and inciting violence against Jewish students. CAM is calling on Meta to ban SJP under its "Dangerous Organizations and Individuals" policy and urges universities to take disciplinary action and bolster campus security.”

Islamophobia Phobia

Andrew Bostom

Many of us are suffering from what can rightly be characterized as “ Islamophobia Phobia”, coined by Dr. Andrew Bostom. The fear of being called an Islamophobe, arises from any criticism or critiquing and idea or aspect of Islam, exposing Islamism and specific Islamists, ie Jew hating, anti-Israel Muslims. This fear is justified as individuals and organizations that reveal historic or current Islamic doctrine which supports an extremist or supremacist ideology or explicitly calls for killing Jews, or the eradication of Israel, may be the one’s doxed, cancelled, threatened, labelled racist. Worse—the  fallout from expressing one’s  “fear” of Islamist ideology  has led to job and academic suspensions, job loss, social isolation, property damage, and destructive reputational campaigns.

Fake News in Book Form

Read this excerpt from a newsletter by Jacob Mendlovic:

“The calamity of Oct. 7 will precipitate a tsunami of books. Already, three powerful, well-received books - by a Jew, a Hindu and a Muslim - are being distributed by mainstream publishers; their theme is that Israel is the fount of evil in the 21st century. They are ''Being Jewish After The Destruction Of Gaza," by Peter Beinart; ''The World After Gaza," by Pankaj Mishra; ''One Day, Everyone Will Have Always Been Against This," by Omar El Akkad. The last is the number one nonfiction bestseller in Canada! (Anti-Israel publishers are also exploiting Oct. 7 with books by anti-Zionist Jews.)”

Mendovic is a free lance writer, who blogs at The Times of Israel.

How sad that Jew haters, contort the truth, obliterate facts, deny evidence and spew lies.
