CAEF Letter to National Post Editor

Dear National Post Editor and Readers,

In the past week The National Post and The Toronto Sun have been the only media consistently telling the truth, unveiling the lies, clarifying issues and presenting facts in regards to the terrorist attacks on Israel from Hamas in Gaza and the internal terrorism generated by Arab citizens of Israel.

It has been a nightmare for Israelis of all faiths, races and creeds and probably no less for non Hamas and non-Jihadi-associated Gazans, but it has also been a nightmare for Jews in the diaspora. The conflict was entirely provoked by the terrorists who are inspired by Islamism, committed to the destruction of Israel, elimination of Jews in their national homeland and bent on another genocide against Jews around the world.

It is no exaggeration that it is Jew hatred writ large, exported abroad and affecting every Jewish community in the Western world, in Asia and Africa as well.

Examples of Jew hatred in our own city, in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, Vancouver and elsewhere are plainly in view but the mass media, with the two exceptions mentioned, prefer to spread lies and bigotry, prejudicing Canadians against the Jewish state. How can journalists, broadcasters, social justice/human rights activists, be so wilfully blind, so bent on spreading the virus of antisemitism? Was one Holocaust not enough, along with the pogroms, the Inquisition, the many wars against Israel since her inception and against the Jews even before Israel’s independence? The war initiated by Gazan-based Hamas and its Islamo-fascist allies began over 100 years ago and has continued almost unabated, stopped only by short term cease fires to allow the terrorists to reload and refurbish their armaments, rebuild terror tunnels, and train more martyrs to die for a cause that only serves the master terrorists, many of whom have homes abroad, healthy bank accounts, big titles and small minds.

Here is what the world of journalism should be about and we commend the National Post and the Toronto Sun, both owned by Post Media, for being committed to it: "Seek the truth, hear the truth, learn the truth, love the truth, speak the truth, hold the truth and defend the truth until death".

Sincerely,

Andria Spindel, Executive Director
